A small, but delicious, menu. Fresh oysters and yummy crab rolls are our usual menu selections. Pickled vegetables and tasty salads are good items to share. The changing wine list is short, varied, and well-thought out with a mix of local and international choices. Plus, there are usually 7-8 draft beers available. Homemade coconut cake or a lemon square provides a perfect ending to dinner. The staff, especially Gabby and Alisa, are all personable and capable. To keep quality at such a good level, year round (in a summer tourist town) is a noteworthy achievement.

Trillium is incredible. Everything we ate exceeded our expectations! No exaggeration!! Here is some of what we chose from the menu: Hummus, Poke bowl, crab dip, crab roll, caesar salad, squash soup(seasonal), chowder, coconut cake and pecan pie… yes we tried all these, and every bite fed our tastebuds and our souls. The bread was homemade right at the restaurant too! Absolutely must try when in town!!

There were a few red flags when we walked in: the chef in the open kitchen was in PJs and cat hat, while cute, signaled they didn't take cooking seriously... and the place was also empty on a Friday night while other hot spots in town were packed. The format is oysters, tinned fish, and classic seafood dishes from different cuisines, such as caesar salad, chowder, ahi poke, Mediterranean hamachi crudo, shrimp ceviche, Maine style crab roll, etc. While I love the idea, the execution was awful... For example some of the ahi cubes were still frozen, the crudo had old oregano pesto and strong preserved peppers that overwhelmed the fish, and the crab roll had minced crab that tasted like the smell of crab shells that had been left out overnight. Wow! Stumbled across this great place. There is so much more than a winebar and tap room. They serve great food, including fresh Oysters! The owner chatted it up with us, such as a great friendly place with a nice touch of class. We will be back!

I will drive all the way to this place just to have the home cured olives. They are absolutely astonishingly full of flavor! We were lucky to have stumbled upon this place their second day of opening. What brought us in was the lighting. It is warm and bright, but somehow in a calm way. We tasted a few wines and settled on a viognier. When visiting West Marin it is a must to order a cheese plate, as all of the cheeses will be local. Trillium’s cheese plate did not disappoint, with local West marin cheeses. We sat at the bar and watched beautiful dishes head out to tables.
