Triad Seafood Market & Cafe

I enjoyed that you’re able to get fresh seafood here (specifically stone crab claws) and it has a nice ambience but the rest of the food wasn’t good. The fried mac and cheese was definitely frozen and I wasn’t impressed with the fried tomatoes or gator bites. Also did not like the coleslaw and the sweet potato fries had no seasoning.

Stopped here after exploring the Glades; awesome old Florida restaurant on the water. Ordered steamed shrimp and soft shell crab, tasted like it just came out of the water! Everything was fresh and staff were super friendly and quick service. Pretty pricey but hey that’s price of paradise.

This is a very popular spot, so you may have to wait, but the food is worth it. They are known for their crab dishes. My wife tried the gator bites and I had mahi. Both were good. I subtracted a point because our server clearly had too many tables and was scrambling to keep up with everything. Also, it was a windy day and since many of the seats are outdoors, things were blowing off everyone’s tables.

Stone crab claws, soft shell crab, and the mahi were absolutely fabulous. Hush puppies were great french fries and sweet potato fries were very good. Beans and rice was great. Service was extremely nice. Beautiful setting.

My gator bites were to chewy and had some grit. My coconut ship we both had were over cooked brownish crispy dry. Did not care for the marmalade dipping sauce for the shrimp.
