We had the best time here Dilcia was so cute and a great bartender .the food was awesome...fun place
This little gem in Everglades City is worth it! The staff was amazingly attentive and the food was absolutley delicious! A perfect meal after a long day of exploring. Highly recommend!
I had a snapper basket. The filet was larger than the norm, fries a bit older, as I think my order may have sat a while before coming out. Service was a cluster....I will say, we came with a large group (40+/-) and Dee did her very best to be accommodating. She's worth her wait in gold. This was our second time coming. The first, there were only 6 of us, not a hitch. Everglades city is a nice little town, seems quiet, and there are some great views. Notwithstanding the service yesterday, we'll go back to the diving pelican...it's worth it.
This was my first visit to the Diving Pelican. In fact, it was the first time I have ever been to Everglades City. Reading reviews on the internet, I selected to have a late lunch at the Pelican. It was not a bad decision. The building is a joint effort between a bar and a restaurant. We entered the restaurant and were the only diners there. We were seated in the bar which was fine. It was quiet and the booths were comfortable. I selected the Grouper Francaise. It was described as pan-seared grouper in egg, lemon, and butter. It had a very good flavor but was closer to pan-fried than pan-seared. It was served on rice. It was a large dish but tasted so good I ate it all. One of my dining companions had a fried grouper dish with rice and beans. It was also filled with good flavor. It was
It is a fun, clean place, with a very nice staff! I had the frog legs, which were amazing. Tender, moist, lightly fried, no swamp flavor...just the flavor of the frog! I also had the gator. Same as the frog legs...perfect! I was very disappointed by the wings, got the dry rubbed wing, heavily fried and way over cook. Now, their specialty drinks are genius and their home brewed Diving Pelican beer was great. Same taste as ShockTop, but a little lighter on the orange and 100 times more refreshing!
