Trat House

I arrived at Trat House expecting a weekend getaway. I left feeling like I had gone through a spiritual reawakening disguised as a bed and breakfast. The moment I stepped into the foyer, I knew I was somewhere extraordinary. The scent? A gentle swirl of cedarwood, citrus, and possibly pure tranquility. The lighting? Soft and warm, as if the house itself was whispering, “You’re safe now.” I nearly wept at check-in. My room—The Juniper Suite—was not a room. It was a sanctum. The bed enveloped me like a lover who’s waited lifetimes. The linens? Woven by monks, presumably. And the bath? Let’s just say I emerged an hour later a glossier, more emotionally stable version of myself. Then there was breakfast. Good God. The brioche French toast was so divine I briefly forgot how language works. I

This place certainly attracts a quirky crowd, but at least it makes for awesome people watching. Delicious food, but I wouldn’t question how it’s cooked… Never a dull moment in this place! An inclusive, safe space for all people of all kinds! Beware of other reviews about the cat though, he was actually a feisty little fella with feral intentions.

This place is so welcoming and warm! From cs majors to frat boys, everyone is invited in! Always food available to snack on and conversations full of joy and wisdom. I’ve stayed here a few times and I will say I do recommend to keep your shoes or at least socks on when walking around, the floors can be quite dirty

An inviting place and a safe haven for all kinds of people. Never have I felt targeted or out of place here and they serve delectable cat food for those who are into that. A sturdy establishment, all things considered, and one that has, miraculously, survived the test of time.

Great hospitality. Thorough although kind of outdated security measures. The outside furniture took some weather damage from recent snowfall. Definitely try the hot chocolate. Overall 4 stars.
