Toyar serves solid food. The Chinese skewers hit the spot and reminded me of being back in deep Northeast China, where street smoke and spice fill the air and everything tastes like it came straight off a charcoal dream. The large lamb skewers and squid skewers were especially good, well seasoned and a little on the sweeter side, but still easy on the palate. Not everything on the menu feels worth the splurge. Ten dollars for a single grilled oyster feels like a luxury experiment gone wrong, but if you know what to order, you can definitely eat well without emptying your wallet. If I could change one thing, I’d ask for extra seasoning on the side. It would be nice to tweak the flavor and get that perfect balance of spice and salt that Chinese skewers are all about. The skewers here are great! As a vegetarian, it's nice to go somewhere that has options that my family can also enjoy. Ashley was a great waitress and provided excellent service!

Everything is very authentic! The mini spicy hotpot, beef & enoki mushroom combo, vermicelli clam, and lamb skewers are all really good picks. A new favorite place of our’s and a must-try place for sure!
