I hadn't been here since it was renovated looks very nice. I just came in for a bite to eat and thought I would give it a rating. I had the hot pastrami wrap with arugula and Parmesan fries. It was a nice warm wrap I thought it was a little bit salty but then again it is pastrami. Nothing overwhelming. I thought the plating was a little bit off it's too big of a plate for that small amount of food. Super disappointed in the parmesan fries because basically there was Zero parmesan on them. I'm not a big fan of shoestring fries but they were crispy but not one speckle of Parmesan on it at all. When I get Parmesan fries I want a little bit of grated parmesan on it and then a little bit of shaved. Not the worst experience not the best experience but I'll be back. I had one of the most disappointing experiences at this establishment. I walked in on the phone and was asked to leave - something l've never experienced at any other bar or restaurant. I was not arrogant or loud little old me vs 10+ older men enjoying a beer yeah right ! As a biracial woman, it felt racially targeted, especially given how I was treated compared to others inside. I believe her name was “Kate” but she made me feel really unwelcomed, judged and unwanted as a PAYING customer. She could’ve asked me to lower my tone which again was not louder than anyone else’s in the room. The manager offered nothing more than an apology and seemed more concerned that I didn't make a scene rather than addressing the issue. My husband and I and two of our teens had dinner here last night and it was excellent! We did have a reservation which is def needed on a Saturday night night. The dining area and bar were packed. We all loved our meals and the crab dip appetizer was delicious. Very reasonably priced and fun atmosphere. We will definitely go back!

Another surprise, the Towne Tavern has found New Life. The restaurant/ combined bar was hopping!! The Owner greeted us at the Host stand. Walked us to the table and gave us our menus. The waiter, Adam? Was slammed but kept rolling. ( I did mention not an empty table.) We ordered drinks and waited a little longer than usual but not surprising. The Food arrived fairly quickly, Kudos to the kitchen. Hot, well presented and very tasty. ( 6 in our party) We had a most enjoyable meal and so very glad to see The Towne Tavern busy and looking good! Enjoyable evening.

Food is great but horrible service. Two girls talking and on their phones but cant help seat you. They have “reserved” tables but I have been seated there before, twice. This time we cant. We walked out to figure out what to do. Few minutes later she comes out with an attitude saying we can sit you at the tables. The “reserved” tables?? No thank you. Get better service.
