Toutwèl Restaurant

Wife and I went to Haitian food for the first time. It was delicious! The fried pork was by far my favorite. The wife’s favorite was the bean sauce. The fried veggies were really delicious as well. The portions were huge! I realize I don’t have a photo of the rice… we got a white rice and a black rice. Both were a delight.

I’ve ordered food both for myself and use Toutwel to cater for multiple events and customer service is top tier. Their pate kòde is the best and the staff is always very professional. Great food. Great people!

The venue is clean and spacious I thought. They have signs in place in compliance with the social distancing guidelines and a excellent customer service. In terms of taste, this is not the best Haitian restaurant, but they're sure to be one of the best value for your money. The plate was heavy and can surely feed to people. In terms of wait time i think it's best to call ahead for your order as you would for many Haitian restaurants. It's not fast food, even Fritay takes time to prepare. I thought they had my food in a timely manner regardless.

Yesterday I went to this Haitian restaurant and ordered griyo with fried plantains. When I got home, I realized they gave me turkey instead of griyo. I called the restaurant, and the same worker told me to come back the next day when he would be there. I went back as he instructed and showed them a picture of the food I received. They admitted it was turkey, but nothing was done to fix the mistake—no replacement, no refund, no solution. I ended up walking out. Very poor customer service and a waste of my time.

The food is soooo flavorful. Had the stewed goat w the fried plate - plantains, fritters, squash. All washed down w guava juice. Will be back.
