This place is a must stop. My favorite things are their mushroom & goat cheese empanada and Royal Ruzu. The staff are so friendly and they’re very community forward. They have an assortment of coffees you can buy and take home ranging from Costa Rica to Ethiopia. I’m stopping by here every time I visit San Diego!
The velvety Banana-Bourbon Latte (with my chosen Ethiopia espresso) is mouth watering and will bring me back.❤️☕️ Flavors come through but are not overwhelmed by banana, which I was afraid was a possibility but wanted to try to see what the bourbon flavor was like. Very happy that I did! The bourbon flavor comes through subtly as well - perfect🏆 Can't wait to go back and try the Dark Chocolate flavor. I like that you can choose which type of espresso or coffee will go in your drink, so you can shape the flavor to your preference. 👍 Torque Coffee is hidden in plain sight - easily accessible on El Cajon Blvd, but also worth going out of your way for! Very appealing and inviting space. Comfortable seating including really nice counter seating looking out the window. Great place to go to read
Today I stopped by this coffee shop on my friend’s recommendation. We decided to try the coffee, and I had an iced latte. Honestly, I really enjoyed it — the coffee was great. They also have a large selection of coffee beans available for purchase — different kinds and sizes of Arabica beans you can brew at home. There are also lots of accessories and various drinks for sale. I liked the atmosphere. The only downside is that there aren’t many seats — just five small tables inside and a couple more outside. But overall, space was enough. The coffee truly stood out — high quality and delicious. One of the best I’ve had in the city. I’m happy to recommend this place to everyone. The service was quick and pleasant, and my overall experience was nothing but positive. I’ll definitely be coming b
I love this place! local coffee shop with amazing vegan friendly selections, adorable merch & gorgeous local art on the walls. I feel so safe and seen in this space as a bipoc queer femme! if you’re queer, love coffee, and want to support a local spot that has strong values- definitely check this place out! :)
Best cortado I've had in San Diego. Service was friendly and coffee was perfection, Marcelessa is very "cozy". I will definitely return here for a cortado fix.
