Toridokoro Raku

I read somewhere that the name of the restaurant translates to “chicken bar” which is exactly what Toridokoro Raku is. They specialize in practically every part of the chicken. And it is all delicious. They grill everything on a Robata grill using imported Japanese binchotan charcoals. It makes all the difference. As do all the other details like the Japanese condiments and sauces to the type of chicken and high quality meats they use. The unused bits of binchotan charcoals as chopstick holders was also a nice touch. It all adds up to a very authentic and satisfying Japanese grilling experience. From the service, to the meats I had a great experience start to finish. Will happily come back again and again.

Today, I visited Raku Dori with a group of friends, and once again, it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The food was consistently clean, beautifully presented, and clearly prepared with great care and attention to detail. Every dish reflected the restaurant's dedication to quality and freshness, and you could truly taste the effort that goes into each plate. What made our visit even more special was the exceptional service provided by our server, Hanna. She was warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Her recommendations were absolutely spot-on and enhanced our dining experience tremendously. Thanks to her thoughtful suggestions and outstanding hospitality, our time at Raku Dori was not only delicious but also genuinely memorable. I would gladly return

This place is definitely a good experience as an introduction to someone who hasn’t done a Japanese Omakase and/or someone that isn’t into raw fish. The reason why is because this is an Omakase where the main ingredient they utilize is chicken and the price point isn’t as high compared to sushi omakases. The best thing about Omakase is that you don’t have to really look at the menu. The chef will serve you items that they suggest and you may even be able to try some new things. They will take you on a journey through different types of flavors and textures with the base of it primarily chicken. The omakase alone is pretty good, but you can also order additional dishes if you like. You may even come across something that you like and you can even order extra of that also. With the omakase

It was 10pm and I was craving a snack! We stumbled upon Toridokoro Raku. They had my favorite (tsukune) and the wing was so good too! Hana and Angela were AMAZING hosts, from when we called in to when we were seated we felt the hospitality and above and beyond service. Love a place that hits amazing food, amazing service, and amazing atmosphere!

What an amazing yakitori chicken spot. One note: yes, RSVPs have to be done through phone. I have heard some of the not so friendly stories about this, but I was super fortunate to have called close to the opening time and easily get a reservation time for the next day. Your mileage may vary! Coming to Toridokoro Raku, compared to Raku, you'll notice it's sleek and modern. Even though there are several grills in the side of the restaurant and open to the rest of the restaurant, the ventilation system they use is wonderful. We did not come out smelly at all after we ate here. We got bar seating and loved watching the whole process which was wonderful and being handed several of the skewers.
