Absolutely delicious! He had Chimichangas, I had Taco Plate. Both were hearty and flavorful, portions are generous. They serve the best pork I have ever tasted. Toribios is the real deal. We will be back often. Don't let the casual setting deter you, call ahead if you don't want to wait to place an order at the counter. Several visits later... Tried the Combo Plate today. The Pork Tamale was plump and full of savory goodness, the Enchilada was what one expects from an enchilada, the Red and Green Chili Sauces were perfect. Unfortunately, the item I was craving, Chili Relleno left a lot to be desired. It's texture was tough enough to require a steak knife but slimy enough to shed the batter so there was no crispness to balance the slippery chili. I want to believe that this was ju
I don’t wanna give this place a bad rating because it was one of the coolest places I’ve been in Taos and oh my god did they have a great breakfast burrito! Like all in all I recommend it for food. But one of the patrons came outside whilst my friend and I were eating our breakfast burritos and called us so many slurs. Son contradicting. It was wild lol. But as long as that dudes there, Jews and lgbtq+ people are not welcome. That all being said, face the bigotry and come here cuz the food is incredible. Don’t let an awful person like that ruin your time. I didn’t. I kept eating my burrito. Which I think made him more mad. Which I found to be awesome! Also the green sauce is SO GOOD
Great smothered/handheld breakfast burritos. Red chile was good. On the other hand I tried their green chilaquiles and they were okay, just had a bland flavor with too much cheese. I think there was too many tomatillos in the green salsa ratio… it gave me heartburn/ a stomach ache. Not my first green chile salsa rodeo either. Restrooms and dining area were really clean and I liked how the restaurant was off of the main road/easily accessible.
Was expecting the food to be given to us on plates so we could sit down and eat, but they packed it up to go. She didn’t ask if it was to go or even ask for a name for the order. Guess I should’ve been specific. No seasoning at all on anything… very bland. No char on shrimp, peppers, onions, potatoes, etc. Is it boiled or microwaved? Pretty disappointed.
I wish I had taken pictures of our food but I was too hungry to think that far. Service was awesome and considerably fast. I hope to dine in and not just do to go sometime in the future. The vegetarian burrito with chopped green chile was everything I was hoping for and perfectly hot. The red tamales reminded my partner of a chile his grandma would do.
