Tomodachi Sushi Restaurant

I was surprised when my friend ordered shrimp sushi and chef made deep fry with head of shrimp. 🦐 not many sushi restaurants does it, they made nice and crunchy. Good quality and kind prices of menu.

This was our first time here at Tomadachi and they definitely won us over. The food was very good and so was the service. Highly recommend trying the Tomadachi and Yellow Tail Tempura Rolls.

Service was relatively fast. The food was good and fresh. The chicken katsu, in my opinion, should not have the sauce on the chicken as it gets soggy. The sauce should be on the side. Overall, it was a good experience. One more thing, the gyoza is fried, not grilled, just FYI.

I have been coming coming to this restaurant for years. The sushi chef, BJ is the best on the west coast. I have not been able to find a chef that compares. If you want the BEST cuts, the most buttery fish, come here. He will not disappoint. I cannot find another sushi places that comes close to the quality of fish and chef. The yellowtail with jalapeño is to die for.

Freah uni from Santa Barbara soo goood!! Oyster and other sushi also pretty decent too. The person serving us is nice and handsome, very friendly. The roll is good too.
