Tombstone San Jose House

What a fantastic place to stay!!! We were in room 4, supposed to be the most haunted. It’s one of the few original buildings still to stand and the oldest board rooms place.

Dirty sheets, dirty towel, glass on the floor in the room. My allergies were acting up really bad in that room and I'm allergic to dogs and cats. No heat, AC unit was super loud so even if it made heat it would have been impossible to sleep in there. Luckily it wasn't too cold.

I give it a 5 for personality! I loved this place so much wish I could rent room 4, long-term! Wasn’t the cleanest, microwave dirty, but manager and owners very responsive, and I still give it a 5 for solid historic appeal. Location also ideal. I hope they never redo the rooms, felt nice and old-timely in there! Thanks for a great stay!

Absolutely loved this place, not sure where the bad reviews are coming from. We stayed here with our 2 teenagers and 2 dogs and will most likely stay here again. There was a lot of room and the beds & bedroom were so comfortable, it was clean and the air conditioner was amazing. It was also so close to the attraction you can walk across the street and be in the middle of it. Also loved that there was no housekeeping knocking on other people's doors so we were finally able to get some good sleep. Definitely will recommend this to anyone planning on visiting.

Nasty leftovers in the fridge. Dirty floors not swept, cigarette butts on floor in no smoking hotel. When we got ready for bed my wife pulled the blankets down and bed was dirty. Looked like people had sex in the bed, sick stains. The pillow’s were flipped upside down so you’d think it was clean. Hair in the bed. When I went to go complain the younger manager would not come outside his mother was outside that works at another hotel she said her son wasn’t feeling well he was having anxiety attacks because I told him about the dirty food in our refrigerator so the kids mother helped us and had to wash our laundry they did not have clean bedding so we had to wait till 930 at night so that we could go to sleep and tell them it was no big deal.
