The Russ House

We enjoyed our stay but there was two things we would like to point out that would help the stay: My husband asked me to let you know the outside light from the patio area comes through the top window that is not covered and the light hit him right in the face where he was sleeping all night. I took a shower and the shower head was clogged and the pressure was weak and it made a mess on the floor even with the mat down. Otherwise the room was spacious and well decorated, the bed was comfortable and we enjoyed the sound of the fountain in the courtyard.

We always enjoy our time in Tombstone, but our stay at The Russ House was over the top! When we stepped through the outer gate and into the courtyard, we knew we had picked the right place. It felt quiet, peaceful, and secluded, even though we were only a few steps from the main streets. Walking through the entry door of our room, (# 3, the Master Suite), we were transported back in time to the late 1800s. The room was elegant and well appointed with furnishings you might have expected back then. The bed was extremely comfortable, the fireplace glowed nicely in the evening as we talked, and the bathroom was extremely clean, with everything we needed for a shower. We had a wonderful dinner at The Longhorn Restaurant, and enjoyed wandering through the many shops in Tombstone. When we went to

Tombstone is a quirky little town,and lucky for us there was a donkey race the day we were there. It’s a little corny, but we had fun. The Russ House was in a great location, in the middle of all goings on, and the room was perfectly fine. It was very western, old fashioned, but the bathroom was modern and had everything you need. The check in situation is a little weird, like a VRBO. You are supposed to receive a text giving you instructions on how to enter the property. In our case it was through a locked patio, and we didn’t get the text and had to call. We only stayed one night before moving on, but it looked like a solid choice based on the other accommodations in town.

Clean, beautiful room. Staying in the "green" room. A little weird that there are no people on site but it hasn't mattered and has probably made it easier and faster. They are reachable if needed. Perfect central location and did I mention clean and beautiful?

We stayed one night in the master suite (room 3). This room was very nicely decorated and clean. The location of the hotel in general is very practical and we liked the self-entry system to enter our room. We experienced periodic banging sounds coming from the wall separating the main room from the bathroom, some of which were so loud that we woke up startled a few times during the night. The sounds were loud and sudden, which made it hard to sleep. The sounds from the wall should probably be checked as they might indicate structural or plumbing issues. I am curious if anyone else has experienced these sounds when staying in this room.
