Tokyo Tavern

We sat at the sushi bar and enjoyed the bright smile of the owner of the business. We had a variety of sushi and lady in red roll. We also enjoyed their best sake. The experience was phenomenal the flavors, texture and the freshness of the fish was on point

Tokyo Tavern is hands-down the best Sushi Restaraunt in Dutchess County...and maybe even the entire Hudson Valley. I lived in Manhattan for 20 years, and I can say with confidence that Tokyo Tavern bests 95%+ of the sushi restaurants in NYC. So being the best in the Hudson Valley is actually a layup in that context! I have been to Japan, and Tokyo Tavern holds its own even amongst the best sushi restaurants in Tokyo and Kyoto. Be sure to try the Seafood Soup, with generous portions of Shrimp, Crabmeat, Scallops, a fantastic home made broth, and vegetable goodies to boot. The fish is phenomenal, and the reason why is because Tokyo Tavern does not use the distributors that all of the other sushi joints in the HV use - the owner personally goes down to the Seaport in Manhattan for all of

One of the best Japanese restaurant in upstate New York, fresh wild Salmon Sushi is the best Sushi ever. Hokkaido scallops and Japanese yellow tails are definitely must try!

Not sure how this is a chicken Hibachi meal… Ordered it to go with a side of "hibachi" noodles that cost extra. None of this even tastes remotely close to hibachi. Not the same noodles. Rice is awful. It’s all bad. I’m not sure how they’re passing this off as hibachi. Will not order again.
