Toki Underground

I came with my partner for noodles on a cold Saturday for lunch while visiting Baltimore. We were not disappointed! Although the area looks a bit sketchy, the inside of the restaurant is trendy with a slight retro feel. We were seated immediately and told that since it was happy hour the prices were a bit cheaper. While taking our order the server asked for dietary restrictions and allergies, a good sign at any restaurant that they care about your food. I got the mushroom shio vegan ramen and my partner got the truffle chicken shoyu ramen. Despite the description saying the mushroom shio had tofu, there didn’t appear to be any. Despite that, the dish was filling enough with its shiitake mushrooms, various types of seaweed, and surprisingly hearty broth. I was a little apprehensive at kale

Food, service, and ambiance are all 5-star! So glad I can come here whenever I have a ramen craving. Tonight my friend and I both got the Tokyo Curry Ramen. It was so flavorful and satisfying. I also had the Mango and Passion Pavlova for dessert; thanks to George, I was able to snatch the last one for the evening! This place is a bit of a drive for me, but worth it! Hope to be back at least once a month, probably more often during this winter. :)

Very trendy Ramen spot! I really enjoyed the open kitchen concept and rotating ski boards on the ceiling. This is definitely a place that I would visit again for vegetarian or vegan ramen as well as sake. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu.

This a quite nice ramen place in Baltimore.. We had Tokyo Curry Ramen and Chicken Shotu Truffle. They were both good. Especially chicken tight in Shotu ramen was delicious, softly cooked, but with a little flat bland flavor. I was expecting more flavorfull broth. I terms of broth Tokyo Curry was better. The ambience and service was great, waitresses and waiters were friendly. I will definitely come back

If you aren’t starting your Friday night at Toki Underground by ordering every single appetizer and a round of drinks like you just won the lottery, you’re doing it wrong. We got seated immediately, which was the universe’s way of saying, "Prepare your bodies." The chicken wings were so meaty and crunchy I’m pretty sure they could be used as structural support for a building. And the pickles? Out of this world. I don’t know where they’re from, but I’m ready to defect to whatever planet grew them. The ramen absolutely slapped.
