Customer Reviews
Tha coffee was not good. My husband ordered a ribeye steak well done, it was really raw inside. I ordered the prime rib hash. It had old overcooked baked potato with really hard skin and tough meat with a couple of mushrooms and a little cheese . Honestly , the plate looked unappetizing. I did not eat the potato skins. I have never had prime rib before. I thought it would be tender. We won't be going back there again. I picked the wrong place for dinner for sure.
I have been to Gaylord many many times over the years and i love the city and the people. This was my first time at this bar and we went specifically for karaoke night. The atmosphere was great the food was excellent and our waitress was perfect. The karaoke culture was incredible and you could tell that everyone there was into it and wanted the singing, which made everything even better. I only have complaints, one, the dj was rude and multiple people in our group had their song shifted to the bottom of the queue after having their song next in queue and they where prepared to go. He also would turn down the mics of certain people for no apparent reason and sometimes to an a level where they where muted. We didnt know the reason, they weren’t too loud but it did ruin the vibe. After shift
My ma said, “give em a good meal, and they’ll be back.” — I can easily say, “I’ll be back” Chargrilled steak. Can’t get one like this anywhere else around here. The sauces, they make them by scratch. The beer, has their name on it, and it’s dam good. The atmosphere, building has been here for 100+ years, the owner, 32 years at the helm, and he works the bar — most importantly HE CARES. And it shows. Perfect place to bring the crew or your wife. Hidden gem.
Stopped in for lunch and ordered the special, walleye sandwich and asparagus. Our server Colleen was very friendly and attentive to our dining needs. The walleye was excellent. Fried to perfection, flaky and properly seasoned. Served on a toasted roll with remoulade sauce, tomatoes, onions and lettuce. The asparagus was grilled and fresh.
Stopped in for our very first time. My husband ordered the baked cod special and I had the club sandwich. We also had fries and onion rings with our dinners. And the fish also came with homemade coleslaw. The food was excellent!!! Very, very tasty!!
