Costillas de res muy Rico! Beef rib is unbelievable. Tender and juicy with a delicious reduction sauce and perfectly seasoned broccoli that's crisp yet tender. I have had some of the best beef rib preparations in the world from Killers smoked ribs to aged beef and everything in between. I'm probably not the best beef rib connoisseur in the world, but I'm far from the worst. This beef rib stands among some of the best I've ever had.
Vegan review: ⭐⭐🫖Unsweetened ice tea: more bitterness than I like. ⭐⭐⭐💃Salsa: is as good as any other place like it. ⭐⭐⭐⭐🥑Guacamole: onion livers are in for a treat! Onions and lime are the stars of this show ⭐⭐⭐🫘Pinto beans: I was told they have no meat. ⭐⭐⭐⭐🍚🥕Mexican Rice: I was told it had no meat, it surprisingly had carrots in it but it wasn't a turn off. ⭐⭐⭐ Vegetable burrito (no cheese & no sour cream): the sauce on top was thicker than expected but it was fine. The vegetables inside were enjoyable but something was off about it, I don't know what.
They have good food. I really enjoy the enchiladas, and the price is good, nice size portion. Big bar in the back and lots of table and booth sitting, never seen it uncomfortablly crowded. Be kind, some of the girls have an accent
The prices are the same as two other local spots but the food is not as good. Bland guac. Only the salsa and chips were good. I love the vibe, really feels like Mexico inside, partly because there are often a few Mexican patrons at the bar and the service is friendly. Sadly, although this is the closest to my home, I'll only be going to Villa Maya and the little place on Twinbrook Pkwy behind Peak Releaf going forward. Taste and freshness matter when it comes to food.
It says Mexican restaurant so I ordered tamales expecting mexican tamales, but they are salvadorian. The flavor was good but not what I wanted. My husband had steak nachos and he liked them. I had the pollo de gallina and it was delicious.
