Thurston House Bed & Breakfast

Thurston House turned our brief visit to attend a wedding in Orlando into an amazing stay! The home is well outfitted, with comfortable rooms and quick hot water, and we relished the ability to enjoy the home's historic qualities but with the benefit of just enough modern accommodations to be comfortable. We stayed in the Hirsch room which was lovely. The house sits on a decent-sized property but is right in town: just far enough to be quiet but still easy to get around. It was better than almost any hotel and competitively priced for the area, and it was a truly comforting experience. Bev was an amazing host! She makes delicious breakfast from scratch, resets the rooms every day, and knows the area very well. She made us feel right at home, and the amenities she provides are top notch. Ov

Beverly is welcoming and kind. The room was very clean and furnished to beautifully match the homes history along with a very comfortable bed and nice heavy towels. Her breakfasts are a delight! This stay was part of a birthday gift for my husband and Beverly fulfilled all my special requests and needs. I highly recommend Thurston House and if I ever require accommodations in Winter Park again, this is where I will stay!

We stayed for 2 nights and we had an amazing experience. The Thurston House is a great escape and minutes from Winter Park. The house is beautiful and has a big porch overlooking the lake which is great for relaxing. We loved sitting on the porch in the morning with our coffee. Beverly is a gracious host and makes a delicious hot breakfast each morning. She spoiled us and we look forward to returning. Very nice change from staying at a hotel. We enjoyed our stay!

Our stay at The Thurston House was a wonderful, charming, comfortable and peaceful place to be on our anniversary trip. The Hirsch room was clean, cozy and well maintained. It had its own thermostat to set the temperature to our liking, a TV with streaming services and good WiFi for our devices. The attached bathroom was unique and a good size for two people. Also in the bathroom is a closet with hangers, robes, full size ironing board and iron. The home itself is full of history and has many places to relax inside and out. The small lake in front with a walking path makes for a great place to be outside and enjoy the scenery. The amazing breakfast provided every morning is a great way to start the day. The host and owner Bev uses fresh ingredients and is very attentive to any dietary need

My wife and I truly enjoyed every moment at The Thurston House B&B! All the great things that you would expect at a well run B&B are here that includes delightful breakfasts that are both aesthetically beautiful and tasty, as well as a super comfortable and clean room and surroundings. I would recommend The Thurston House to all that are B&B enthusiasts! Lastly, Beverly (the owner) was just so accommodating and is the picture perfect person to meet and greet you upon arriving and taking care of you while you're there!
