Fun, friendly location of the Austin Sub sandwich chain. I enjoyed the Turkish delight on wheat bread, which is light but filling, healthy but hearty. The staff are welcoming and helpful. They are a great place to visit for a sandwich while your car is getting worked on at Firestone next door. They share a huge free parking lot with other businesses in the same strip.

I entered Thundercloud Subs as a humble woman seeking bacon. I left having psychologically destabilized a man named Trey. Trey (also known in local folklore as “Trey Legend,” though scholars debate the origin) crafted my sandwich with what I can only describe as reckless confidence. We sparred verbally, as is our custom. Words were exchanged. Eyebrows were raised. The air crackled. Then, as he wrapped my sub, I struck. “Did you remember the bacon, Trey? Because I don’t think you did.” Reader, this man broke. He LAUGHED. He unraveled the sandwich like an archaeologist uncovering ancient ruins, unsure of his own memory. Traye Legend is an amazing sub prep, He was an absolute 💯 percent delight to talk with while he was making our food. He made me laugh and put a smile on our faces. Also, best tuna sub ever.

BLT (extra bacon, minus tomato) lol is my usual but last I tried the Ladybird (minus avocado, extra bacon) it was so good!!! The service here is always great and friendly too!

I always look forward to a thundercloud sub. This location makes it extra special. The staff is lots of fun and very talented. Last time I was in they were having some technical difficulties but they did not let that affect their positive outlook. I will be back soon!
