Hands down, definitely the best fries in I’ve ever eaten! Whether you favor salt or vinegar, there’s nothing like ‘em. Just don’t expect to put ketchup on them bc that’s a definite no-no. Thrashers does not give out ketchup. Fortunately you don’t need it. They’re absolutely delicious just as they are, and always fresh out of the fryer. But keep in mind that they are cooked in peanut oil for anyone who might have a peanut allergy. They do offer small cups of vinegar with lids and paper trays to dump your fries in, both upon request.
This place has the worst customer service I've ever experienced. We ordered fries and a few drinks. The guy working the register barely acknowledged us and rarely made eye contact. He acted like he hated his job, and we were inconveniencing him. When I asked for a receipt, he did not acknowledge and walked away to get our drinks. When he returned, he just gave the drinks and moved on to something else. Don't waste your time here. The food is not worth the terrible service.
Home of the overpriced beach french fries that I can't help purchasing.... The seagulls love this place and stalk customers outside of the restaurant. They no longer offer ketchup, which was a big disappointment for my wife. The fries could have been a little crisper, and it's tough to get enough vinegar down to the fries at the bottom of the container. Did I mention that they are really expensive? But of course I will buy them again the next time I am at Rehoboth Beach.
Well worth the wait in line... outstanding fries. Add some malt vinegar to really enjoy them. Generous portions for sharing while strolling the boardwalk.
I believe this used to be the location of George’s Lunch and their fresh cut French Fries. Thrashers continues the tradition with multiple locations on the boardwalk and Rehoboth Ave. As the picture will show, a medium cup size spills over into the cardboard tray as they are generous and don’t skimp on portions. $7.50 will get you this amount. I don’t know how they compare with national franchise Five Guys location on the avenue fries or Louie’s which is next door. I do notice they have bottles of apple cider vinegar to use on the hot fries whereas traditionally malt vinegar was the go-to addition that Five Guys still uses. I don’t know if this is a concession to the health conscious or they feel it tastes better. There’s always a line but it moves quickly as they have the routine down t
