Thomasville Public Library

This library is nestled away in a very comfortable area of town. Very cozy and convenient. You can easily spend several hours here just reading and literally relaxing your mind, such a calming ambience. They Offer many different events here. You Have to take the time out to read everything. Many unique and beautiful displays noted throughout. Excellent customer service. The faxing isn't free here, in charlotte nc you can fax for free at hickory grove library. Copying is a great price 10 cent. It will balance out with the cost of faxing. 🤔.

(TLDR: kids area is nice, go somewhere else for more.) Its a cute little library, and the childrens dept is quite good. However, they are extremely reluctant to give properly clear information on anything, especially classes or services. The only way to access anything is through a phone call where they put your name on a post it, and hopefully the relevant person gets back to you at some unknown future point, and even then you may end up on a waitlist on top pf already waiting up to that point. This is incredibly frustrating. In theory they have lots of programs going on, but there are so many hoops to jump through, i wouldn't be surprised if they are quietly trying to shut those programs down.

This is hands down the best library. They have a huge separate room designated for children with coloring, toys for all ages, chalk wall and of course books. I love the staff here too. You walk in and are always greeted with smiles and a warm welcome.

Came in today to return a book and renew a few others and had the worst experience I've ever had at a library. A staff member came from the back and yelled at me "is that yours" referring to my son because I allowed him to touch the public computer at the entrance for all of 90 seconds while I waited at the front checkout for somone to come help. After I picked up my 3 year old I went back to the front desk to get my library card then the woman assisting me at the front identified herself as the assist manager and reinforced her employee was right. I will NEVER return to this branch. I am thankful the Lexington Library staff are kind and welcoming to my family and me.

We go to the children's section. It is pretty cool. The kids truly enjoy everything about it.
