Thomas Cafe

Good, solid fare, good service and well priced. I ordered the LowCountry Gumbo and that was a great choice. My wife had the fish and shrimp which were cooked perfectly. One downer was being served off the shelf Cocktail Sauce packets. It's so easy to make ahead why buy less tasteful condiments?

On our way back to Charleston from Myrtle Beach, we decided to make a quick stop in Georgetown. While walking back from Harborwalk, we stumbled upon Thomas Cafe—it was 9 AM, so we figured it was the perfect time to grab breakfast at a locally owned spot. The place had a cozy vibe, with several locals already settled in, chatting and starting their day over hearty breakfasts. Thomas Cafe, located on Front Street in Georgetown, SC, has been a community favorite for over 75 years—and it’s easy to see why. I love this place. The food is great southern cuisine. Love the fried green tomatoes and the fried shrimp. The service is always top notch. Make sure you tip your waitress. Those girls are on top of their game and they deserve good tips. The atmosphere for me is just the classic southern diner welcome home type atmosphere. All around great experience every time.

Excellent little place for Breakfast and lunch. Homemade offerings and reasonably good prices. A place that gives you a hometown feel. We have had breakfast and lunches here. Always good and friendly service.

Thomas Cafe for breakfast and it was busy with a prayer group on the side and about 10 others at opening 7AM! Very good and at $8 a plate you can’t find a better deal! Came back on dock area and noticed this beauty on our walk!
