I've moved out of Chicago and have since been looking for legit Italian Beef joints outside of Chicago on my travels. I've tried dozens of places with all of them not even close to the real deal that Chicago area restaurants produce. This trip, I came across Chi Shack, and spoiler alert- I have finally found an amazing Italian Beef joint outside of Chicago! The Beef had the thin juicy slices of meat, the roll was the right texture and chew, and the giardiniera was crunchy and had a beautiful kick of flavor explosion. Usually I don't care for cheese on my Beef but this was a fine touch and the whole thing was gloriously baptized in au jus. It's the real deal. The Chi Shack finally bringing authentic Chicago food to the valley! Mark, the owner/chef, is a complete gem of a human and takes the midwest nice to a whole new level. Had the Chicago dog and it was amazing with perfectly crispy fries - the pickle spear was crunchy which is a must. I felt like I was at Portillos, only better. My husband loved his Italian Beef sandwich - said it was one of the best he ever had. Highly recommend the Chi Shack.

We had Mark and crew come to our property to provide lunch to our employees and it was awesome and absolutely delicious. These guys were authentic and you could truly feel their passion for all things Chicago. It was such a great time getting to meet and know these guys. Thanks again y'all!!!!! See ya around! The owner is an amazing and humble dude. Love the food and the atmosphere. The chili cheese dogs are to die for and the fries as well!!! Love the food to death.

Mark Ramos has brought a type of food that makes your mouth water. There are very few, if any, food trucks that bring the flare from Chicago that Chi Shack does. Mark is passionate about the product he puts out to the customer. He ensures that the juice meets and exceeds his expectation. I had the Italian Roast Beef that was juicy, full of flavor, and most importantly delicious.
