The Woodford Hotel

This place is a real gem in the middle of DT Versailles! We stayed in the Woodford reserve suite. No, it’s important to know that this isn’t your standard hotel chain, thankfully. It is like a quaint bougie apartment in the middle of a bustling small town downtown. It is not a hotel chain (thankfully) so you never know what you’re going to get, but Kristin and Eric have done such a wonderful job restoring this place. Exceeded our expectations for everything. It has a distinct charm from the amazing scents they use in the entry way all the to the little touches (like having a pitcher of ice cold filtered water ready for us in the fridge) in the suite. Last minute find while visiting Quilt Shops in KY. Very glad we did. Easy to contact via email and text, prompt responses. We stayed in the Wild Turkey suite, it was lovely. Clean, well decorated and well stocked. 2Bed/ 1.5Bath with kitchenette was price-comparable to double hotel rooms in the area, but such a more memorable and comfortable experience. Highly recommend.

We stayed back in lat le October, early November. We loved our room, the Pappy Vanwinkle themed. Great little town in a central location for the bourbon trail. I had the opportunity to speak with the owner and he provided some goo recommendations for food and drinks in town. Will definately make it back to share some bourbon with the owner who had some plans for the space next door to the hotel. Wish we stayed more nights.

Our stay at the Woodford Hotel was truly excellent from start to finish. The location couldn’t be more perfect — right in the heart of a town that genuinely looks like it was lifted straight out of a Hallmark movie. The charming streets, the warm lights, the small-town energy… it all adds to the magic the moment you arrive. The hotel itself is stunning. The aesthetic is absolutely perfect — cozy, classy, full of character, and beautifully designed in a way that makes you feel both at home and on vacation at the same time. This property is a find! The room decor is amazing (each room is designed around a bourbon brand), great amenities and the cleanliness is beyond exceptional. Charming, quaint, relaxing, pleasant - beyond everything you could ask for! Happened to meet the owner, very friendly and cares about guest experience. The location is great - in the heart of bourbon distilleries, horse farms and historic towns. Versailles appears to be undergoing a trendy revival. The scenic countryside is beautiful. Plan on returning and definitely will stay at The Woodford Hotel!
