Great night for a ladies night out. Delicious food, attentive service and fun atmosphere. We shared lots of dishes and no complaints with the food. A few service things to work out with a new restaurant but will definitely be back …. Had to ask for small plates with appetizer, forgot steak knife with steak and we had to ask for the bread instead of the server asking us if we would like bread. Pricier for the restaurant offerings in the area but overall happy with our night out. They take the time to decorate the patio to make the complete space inviting even when obviously not seating guests on the patio.

Really beautiful inside. The design is like a French bistro, from the tile walls to the lights to the flooring. Super welcoming and happy you are there for dinner. The service was so friendly and attentive. The food was really delicious, well proepared and great flavour. We had a pasta with clams that was wow! The sunshine platter was a great starter, the steak and fries also great , really good fries! The desserts were also awesome. There is a trio platter offering you 3 desserts at a special price which is super fun to try. Lived the fresh bignets, the sorbet, the chocolate cake and the tiramisu.

Overall a wonderful experience. Thank you Craig and Samantha for coming to Basalt. We love that it has a similar ambiance to Wild fig in Aspen including the French music, round bistro lights, white tile and table clothes with small candles all around the room. We , however, do not care for the long industrial lights and feel those could be turned down even more in eve. Also the spray used on the tables is a very strong smell when you come into the restaurant. The mussels were plump and the coconut sauce is rich and delicious. The lamb was cooked well with the cous cous though the cous cous could be enriched with more of a cous cous royale panache. We also loved the generous portion of home made fries and the tiramisu was the best we have had in the Valley. Thank you!

My partner and I dropped in to try the new restaurant in town. The atmosphere is excellent. Restaurant was packed. I ordered the lamb shank which was overcooked, lacking in meat, and simply did not taste wonderful. My partner had the pasta with clams. The pasta was not al dente. Rather, they were undercooked and hard in the middle. Our server was polite. It seemed he was very overwhelmed with all of the diners there. I witnessed three other tables having to wave down servers in order to ask for their respective checks. It took about an hour for the main courses to arrive to the table. All in all, I was hoping for a better experience considering the price point of the restaurant.
