The Wicked Oyster

We had a wonderful dinner at Wicked Oyster! The crab pasta was absolutely delicious — rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. My ribeye was a little underdone for my taste, but our server, Evey (not sure how to spell it!), was fantastic. She immediately took care of it and had it cooked a bit more. The staff even offered us dessert on the house for the trouble, which was such a thoughtful gesture, even though we didn’t end up getting any. The spicy margarita was amazing, perfectly balanced with just the right amount of heat. Overall, great food, great service, and a relaxed Cape Cod vibe. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!

I would never imagine that food of this caliber would be found outside of a big city. This restaurant is so delicious, we came back a SECOND night in a row to try more menu items! We tried most everything on the menu between the last two evenings and there is not one item that was a disappointment or waste of stomach space. Our top five recommendations would be: focaccia bread, filet of sole, crab pasta, Jonah crab salad, and the mushroom curry. I’m not a beet person, but even I ate the beets, further proving how excellent the offerings are. Not only that, but our servers were attentive, friendly, and proactive throughout both evenings providing new utensils, clean plates, and drink refills without needing to be asked. They seem to have changed to a more bistro style than last time I ate here. Food was good, but expensive. $10 for bread, that wasn't even the bread on the menu. Most entrees are near $40. For that price and setting there are much better choices on the Cape

Five stars based on the quality of the oysters, the helpfulness of the staff, and the inviting atmosphere. I stopped in for oyster happy hour and a glass of wine and sat on the couches to enjoy them. I did not try any of the main food so I can’t comment on that, but a dozen oysters for $20 coupled with a glass of vinho verde that my server recommended was the perfect appetizer to hold me over before my dinner plans later. I look forward to returning and trying the full menu.

Update as of May 31, 2025: I look forward every summer to dine here during my visits to the Wellfleet area. The service and food continue to exceed expectations with attentive and friendly servers. On this visit, the food highlights were: the Sole entree with a smooth spectacular buerre blanc; the kitchen changed my favorite sherry sauce on their mussels to a tomato chorizo sauce that is worthy alternative…I still though miss the sherry version and I wish they offered choice of the sauce; and the chocolate mousse dessert - so smooth and creamy like chocolate pudding and fudge had a baby, and the best thing I love about their desserts is they continue to be perfectly balanced - not overly sweet with subtle savory notes and textural accents (nuts)!!!
