The Village Restaurant

This is a unique local restaurant with friendly and caring people. They were personable and it felt very warm and homey. I enjoyed the biscuits and my husband liked the chicken fried steak. They have a big selection of cheesecake too!

Were in town for my son's wedding. First morning we went service was good, but waitress was overwhelmed and kept forgetting our items:butter refills, etc. Food was good and prices were reasonable. 2nd morning we went. Different staff, very rude. We waited for a table for over 15 mins (2 tables were open just needed clearing and the staff were complaining to each other who's table/turn to clean). We finally just left. Upon leaving a regular was sitting outside and mentioned that they were struggling that morning. Had we had another opportunity we would probably given them another chance if we could have had the Friday staff verses Saturday staff.

Before entrance set up rocking chair .look so pretty .Inside restrant is so pretty ,precious picture hanging on the wall shows that comfortable. We loved. Food is definitely delicious. Lady bring grape salad is delightful kindness.

Overall a good experience. This was my second dining experience alone. The waitress are friendly and helpful. Since my last visit the menu has been updated. It was basic for a breakfast meal but excately what I want. I would recommend and go back. Village breakfast and orange juice. Cost a little over 10.

I was going to bring a few extra dollars to hopefully tip more than enough. Like I usually would. Then I saw the menu pricing. And did not like the idea of price gouging individuals for a dining experience that I could have at the house or at a restaurant 5 miles or 2 miles up the road for half the price or the same price, with more quality and quantity. Thank you for keeping some of your interest in the pricing of your product to the communities standard? Great eats!
