This museum was a surprisingly rich source of fascinating history, proving that small towns can pack big stories. My wife and I had a great time unraveling the layers of Hopkinsville’s past—some uplifting, others undeniably heartbreaking. However, one noticeable gap was the lack of Black history representation. While some narratives were included, it felt like more could be done to ensure that the full picture is captured. Preserving all voices from history matters, and hopefully, future updates to the museum will reflect that. Hopkinsville has some detailed history and stories with some encounters with aliens which was very interesting. While these stories of aliens typically One standout highlight was the dedicated space to bell hooks, Hopkinsville’s beloved literary giant. With contribu
This is a very informative museum on the history of Hopkinsville. It is interactive for the kids and the kids at heart. I left with a need to delve deeper into some of the historical events that had occurred in Hopkinsville, all because of exhibits within the museum. The curator the day we went was also fantastic and super friendly!
This is a small quiet Museum yet is probably the best museum I've ever been inside of in terms of interesting content. If you're anywhere near this place you owe it to yourself to check it out.
This place is loaded with history once a post office in the 1900,s now converted to a museum loaded with The past of Hopkinsville and U.S history there's some wild and wierd stories that will amaze you and some that will make you proud the admission is 5 bucks while on the tour I got to meet the gentleman and his assistant who set up the exhibit very cool experience to know who sets these awesome displays for us to look back in time so if your in town I recommend this small but cool museum it worth it thanks Museums of Historic Hopkinsville 😎🤘🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Very nice little town museum. Lady was real nice but a little unfamiliar with exhibits. Only thing around with a section about the Alien attack in Kelly. Would have been more fun to have some more about that. Grandkids had lots of fun with the treasure hunt.
