The Velveteen Plum

I have been to The Velveteen Plum numerous times, and I have never left disappointed! The food here is delightful, very flavorful, and the plating of the food itself is tasteful and matches the atmosphere of this chic rooftop bar and restaurant. This restaurant is a must for anyone looking to indulge in well-prepared food with deep roots in Latin-inspired cooking. The wait staff here are all phenomenally kind and truly make each and every meal that much more enjoyable. It's safe to say that I'll be returning for another meal very soon! (Additional Note: I would highly recommend the chimichurri bread to anyone looking for a delicious appetizer!)

Park across the street on the gravel lot that is half way up the block. Food is lovely, lots of chimchuri. Mussels were great, same with the shirt steak and salad. Waiter was very knowledgeable. It was a snow storm so the view wasn't great.

With the amazing view of a beautiful sunset over Rib Moutain, the friendly and outstanding staff(especially Stacy!), the delicious food and drinks, we will definitely be back! The atmosphere is so comforting and welcoming! Can’t say this loud enough for the people in the back…HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I had a dirty martini and the mussels which are always my go to and the best. Stacy is the absolute BEST server I have ever had. I have come here for over two years now and Stacy has never not served me with the best personality, work ethic, and attentiveness to our table. Stacy makes it personable and never ceases to amaze me. If you want the whole experience with foods and drinks as for stacy !!

I would give the VP a 3.5 or a solid B rating. When you walk in it gives you this VIP appearance. Love the swanky rooftop just wished it was warmer so we could really enjoy it. Views were awesome from our table! And they accommodated our large group easily. Our waitress was adorable. If she didn’t know something she found the answer. Meals were good but did not have that elevated feel it should have for the price or environment as it was served in a basket. While this may seem petty it really brought down the dinner. Such a cool environment but presentation failed at plating. So much thought put into everything else. The beverages had more thought put into them. Would love to come back for drinks on the patio.
