The Vegetarian

Sooooo good!! Whenever people visit from out of town it is one of the first things I get for them. I have a lot of vegetarian friends that love being able to get anything on the menu. The Garlic naan is phenomenal. I always get the dumm aloo, and the rice that comes with it is delicious! I have never had a bad experience.

Traveled here from Minneapolis given the positive reviews. Place was empty aside from one person eating food who turned out to be the lone employee. Overall place a mess with half the tables covered with stacks of stuff. Weird how she was eating but the place did not smell of food cooking, something unusual for an Indian restaurant. It looked like no one had been there for a long time. Can’t imagine why anyone would eat there, and left without ordering. The positive reviews can’t be legitimate.

I'd heard rave reviews about this restaurant, so I recommended it when my friends and I were looking for a birthday dinner spot. I regretted it when we were given menus.. mine was covered in mold. The food was good, but small portions for the price.

The dosa was delicious! I would encourage people to dine in at this establishment despite what other reviews say. I was impressed by the number and variety of vegetarian options!

Love the name, love the food, love the owners. I ordered the Avila (plantains, carrots, eggplant, cauliflower and other vegetables in a coconut sauce) was SPECTACULAR. I have never had this dish, but since dining here it’s been on my mind so much. Each bite was bursting with flavor. The vegetables were wonderfully tender. The portion was large as well. My husband got the Eggplant Masala (garden fresh eggplant sautéed with herbs and spices). It was excellent! Tons of flavor. I believe this was the best eggplant dish I’ve ever had! The couple running the restaurant are a hoot. They were friendly and hilarious! I had a great experience. 10/10!
