The Vault Restaurant

I had to celebrate my birthday by myself this year. Hubby ended up in the hospital. He felt bad and told me to take myself out to dinner. The drink and dinner was delicious! Lobster happen to be the special of my he night! Bonus!!!

The Vault restaurant is located in an old bank on Main St in Houlton,Maine. I made reservations five days in advance so we could get the only table inside the actual vault...SOOOO COOOL!!!! And quite! The food was absolutely wonderful, offering Fish, Latino, Thai, Steak... My fish dish melted in my mouth. My partner ordered Pad Thai, which wasn't too sweet and with thinner noodles and additions made it better than most I've tried in other places. The Merlot was perfect. The waitress checked in with us at just the right intervals.

The Vault in Houlton truly offers a fine dining experience that is second to none. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that attention to detail is a priority here. Our reservation was promptly honored, and we were greeted with a beautifully set table, complete with an elegant touch—a fresh rose adding to the ambiance. We began with the spinach bacon artichoke dip, a perfect start that was both rich and savory. The combination of flavors was expertly balanced, and the dip was served piping hot, accompanied by crispy tortilla chips. The light crunch of the chips paired beautifully with the creamy, flavorful dip, making it an appetizer that set the tone for the culinary indulgence to come. So delicious!!! Steak was the best we have had. Pad Thai had lots of chicken, egg, peanuts, and the right amount of cilantro and green onion. Crab cakes were crispy and yummy. Bissel brothers substance ipa was great with the steak! Great date night spot. We ate, literally, in the vault, so it was nice and private!

Really nice dining experience at The Vault. Nice ambience they have going on there. Started with the spinach bacon artichoke dip and carnitas street tacos. Both really solid appetizers. I ordered the dry aged ribeye for an entrée with some fries and salad with honey lime viniagrette dressing. I ate the entire 14oz steak. Was cooked perfectly, unbelievably tender. Well worth the price. Finished with some churros for dessert, and my fiance got the salted caramel cheese cake. I'd put money that this is the best dining experience in the area by a long shot. Will make a point to come back any time I'm in the area!
