The menu of good is not large but the tea and coffee selections are many. Diane had the chicken salad sandwich were they use white and wheat bread combined for a neat little twist. The chicken salad was very good and the portion was nice. I had the roast beef that was the daily special. Very tender, very good and I loved the au just that had herbs and onions mixed in and not just broth. I actually just drank the last of it after I finished the sandwich. Out of towners visiting family — a favorite spot of theirs and now mine when I’m in town!! Very cozy and welcoming atmosphere, all of the staff are just lovely. Asked about a tea for an itchy throat and got offered a broth mix with our lemon ginger green tea, and I got an American style grilled cheese with potato salad and a pickle. Very good!! Very excited to visit again. The owner personally made sure our experience was good upon leaving :) bring your old books because they have take a book leave a book!

This spot has been on my want to visit list ever since I decided to visit all 100 counties in NC. I finally made it recently, and I was not disappointed. I picked up a scone and a tea to go. The gentleman who helped me was kind enough to make me an iced tea, even though that isn't on their menu. He gave me three great options that I had a chance to smell before brewing which helped me pick the amazing lemon ginger green tea. My cranberry walnut scone was also pretty good and traveled well. They server their whole menu all day. I really want to come back to have afternoon tea and relax with friends. I left a game for their small board game area because I was going to donate the game soon ;) Definitely support this great local shop!

Great little gem! ! I had the snickerdoodle tea and a scone drizzled with chocolate. They were both fantastic! The owners were so welcoming!

The Tea Room on Main is more than just a great place to eat, they’re wonderful neighbors and genuinely good hearted people. They always give back to the community, support local efforts, and set the example for what a Main St. business should strive to be!
