The Surry Seafood Co.

We have come here often this summer for lunch. It has quickly become one of my favorites.. It is by the water, the food is great. It is not super large but a warm atmosphere. Waitstaff is great. Today I had the stuffed flounder and my husband had the Captain combo platter. Both were great. We started out with a cup of the crab soup which was delicious.

Not sure why this is labelled as a hotel. If they have rooms I didn't notice. Anyway, we came here to eat and the food was great. The views are beautiful, atmosphere is great, and staff are friendly. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Had a wonderful time showing visiting family the beauty that is our Surry County home. Wrapped up the day at Surry Seafood Company, starting with a walk on the docks to gaze out onto Gray's Creek. We had some really exceptional dishes with my favorite being the she-crab soup! Our server was attentive, accommodating and personable. Great place, great food, great drinks, great people!

We drove an hour for lunch in a remote location in Surry. Perhaps if you are traveling by ferry to Jamestown it would be worth the drive. The location on the river is nice and would be great in warmer weather than November. They do have nice outdoor seating. The food was not particularly good. The cook put no effort in making my seafood quesadilla. Out of 6 slices 2 had seafood, others were loaded with bacon lumped together. If the ingredients had been distributed with a little care it would have been better. The waitress did not tell us about the specials. I may have asked for the seafood flatbread if I had known. The service was good. Maybe we will try again during the summer.

Shout-out to Mashonda who was our bartender! Cocktails were great. We had fresh shrimp and hush puppies that were delish! Friendly atmosphere
