The Steamboat Inn

This is an amazing place to stay! The room was immaculate and exceeded my expectations!! The people were so friendly. They provide breakfast and it was out of this world! I can’t think of enough nice things to say about my two day stay here. It is so close to downtown, it only took a three minute walk to be in the middle of everything. They even allowed my sweet dog to stay and gave him treats!

My husband and I spent two nights in Jefferson as a break during our long holiday trip and made a last-minute reservation at the Steamboat Inn. We couldn’t have been happier with our choice—everything about this place was wonderful. It is incredibly close and minutes walking distance to the charming town. The hosts are incredibly warm and welcoming. David, the innkeeper, shared fascinating stories with us as we relaxed by the fire in the evening, which made our stay feel especially personal and memorable. Our room was cozy, and the bed was extremely comfortable. We loved the thoughtful touches throughout the inn—endless coffee, wine, and even warm cookies! We planned a 2 night stay at The Steamboat Inn along with our dog. The location was nice, quiet and walking distance to the town's center. The building was well decorated and the rooms were lovely. The past reviews on the breakfast are spot on - Lana takes pride in her cooking and it shows. Each day was a different menu and were equally delicious. ||The hosts were great and very friendly. I would completely recommend reserving a stay here when visiting Jefferson.

5/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ From the outside, the house already looks very promising as you drive up to it. But once you step inside—especially into your room—you are truly blown away. It is one of the best accommodations I have experienced in the U.S. Everything is thoughtfully decorated and clearly designed with the guests’ well-being in mind. The owners themselves, as well as the caretaker of the house, are wonderful, positive people and very approachable. The breakfast was stunning, and I truly appreciated that they listened to our request and prepared a small, simple breakfast just for us. Overall, if you are in or around Caddo Lake and haven’t booked accommodation yet, I highly recommend this place. I am certain you will not be disappointed.

I can't describe how wonderful the hosts are; you have to experience it for yourself. The loving, decorated, and artistic accommodations are unlike anything I've seen elsewhere. Lana and Alex have thought of everything for travelers, including providing two bottles of water in the room and lighting a fire outside on cold nights. They're also pet-friendly. The coffee and banana muffins at breakfast were incredibly delicious. It was simply the best experience in the world. As for the location, it's in the heart of Jefferson, within walking distance of any shop you want to visit.
