Delta Street Inn

Was here for a solo photography trip and was blown away by this lovely bed and breakfast. The house itself is very historic (built in 1920 I believe), the furnishings and decorations inside make you feel like you've stepped back in time (in a good way). And it truly feels like being home. It felt like having wealthy relatives in east Texas and coming to stay in their home for a while. The common areas are wonderful for reading and relaxing, and taking a break from everything for a while. The hosts, Jean and Curtis are phenomenal, extremely friendly people. I kept leaving at 5:30 AM to go photograph dawn, and so was only able to snag breakfast on the last day of my stay. Our stay at The Delta Inn in Jefferson, Texas, was absolutely wonderful — truly perfect in every way. I honestly couldn’t ask them to change a thing. We arrived around 2 PM on a Saturday and headed straight to the Jefferson town square. Our first stop was the General Store, which was much bigger inside than we expected and full of charm. Then it was time to check in at The Delta Inn at 3, and from the moment we walked in, we were impressed. Our room was beautiful and so thoughtfully prepared — we had our own private bathroom and a private balcony, which made it feel extra special. Every detail was considered: a sound machine, soft robes, a luxurious king-size bed, a huge bathtub, and plenty of towels, soaps, lotion, and even a blow dryer. The atmosphere was calm, cozy, and so relaxing.

What a wonderful stay at Delta Street Inn! Jean and Curtis Clark are the new owners and they exceeded our expectations on our recent visit to Jefferson. There are multiple seating areas, a library, TV and movie viewing room, access to coffee and ice, very comfortable king size beds with all of the wonderful amenities you'd expect. The breakfasts are excellent! I am on a special diet and Jean accommodated me without anyone noticing that mine was a bit different. She is a fount of local information and a warm and welcoming couple. They serve locally roasted coffee as well as the usual brands. Tourist information is provided and real attention to detail in the rooms is given. You will not be disappointed! We can't wait to return sometime very soon.

A great place to stay when in Jefferson. The first floor bedroom was excellent to accommodate my wife who could not take stairs easily. Nice, clean residence, inviting breakfast and quiet lodging. Words are inadequate to describe the kindnesses shown by Owners Jean and Curtis for us personally.||Highly recommended and we plan on returning soon.
