The State Cafe and Grill

Dependable, reliable, consistent. The food here is GOOD! Some food items are locally sourced which I greatly appreciate. The service is always fantastic. And they actually have REAL maple syrup, you just have to ask for it. I’ve only had breakfast here but I’m sure the rest is just as good. Love it when i can score some of their pancake specials!

Visited for the first time today and it was great! The special cinnamon bun pancake was perfection. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, amazing flavors. The sausage side was nice and crispy. And the service was sooo friendly, they treated me like they’d known me for years. Really great!!

This is one of the great gems of Easton. The vibe with the kitchen in the middle of the restaurant, the service and tasty food makes this a must visit if you’re in town. If you’re a local, you’ve probably been here many times already.

We stopped here on our way home from NYC for a quick lunch. We didn’t want standard fast food fare and so went a smidge out of our way…but it was worth it. I am having the Savory Oatmeal and my husband the Grilled Cheese with bacon & tomato. The oatmeal is unlike any I’ve ever had before and it will inspire how I serve oatmeal at home now…the green mint tea is also a winner!

My daughter had a hankering for a good BLT and The State Cafe was recommended to us from a friend. We weren't let down. The sourdough bread was perfectly toasted and the bacon was crispy, but not overcooked. I had a very standard breakfast–I ordered one scrambled egg with home fries, sourdough toast, and two sausage patties–but there was nothing standard about it. From the house-made jelly, to my coffee cup never once reaching below halfway, to the friendly and attentive service, this meal was perfectly relaxing and delicious. At the end of our meal, we discovered the host, Bill, was the co-owner and our server, Coreen, was the other co-owner–they're a husband and wife team!
