The Stand Branford

What a fantastic venue for a rehearsal dinner! We had 21 people and had the patio to ourselves. The food was great - the chicken wing appetizers were a standout. All of the main course was delicious and plentiful. Mac and cheese, pulled brisket with homemade BBQ sauce, coleslaw, salmon, chicken, and amazing cornbread with honey butter. Dessert was awesome - a brownie platter with cookies and a carved watermelon overflowing with freshly cut fruit. Very attentive service - waters were kept full on a hot evening and drink orders were delivered quickly. Our party adjourned to the shed for the Welcoming Party where the staff relocated all the extra food for our additional guests. Our dedicated servers came with us. We stayed there for several more hours enjoying the band, drinks, and food.

I came with friends on open mic night. I ordered the chicken tenders which were tasty and the portions were large. I ended up sharing them. Nice selection of draft beers. Friendly staff

What a great place! A big part of why I love The Stand is because of the cool outdoor seating which is sometimes hard to find in CT. The food is also good although I’ve tried ordering the tuna tostada twice and they’re always sold out. Food I’ve tried... • Brussel sprouts. Eh. They were alright and totally drenched in dressing which made them a bit soggy. • Salad was great. • Pasta came out cold ☹️ but they quickly reheated it. It was fine, but I wouldn’t order again. To be fair, it’s really hard to impress me when it comes to pasta. • Hamburger properly cooked and flavorful. • All of the drinks are great! I rarely do bad reviews but this was extremely upsetting to be treated as I was at The Stand. I had gone to their website to get a number to call for a reservation. On the website it said reserve a table which I clicked. It asked for date gave option of times and number of people. I filled it all out and entered. I got a text that the Google assistant would notify me which a short while later I got the confirmation right date and time and place. When we got to the restaurant it was busy I told the hostess we had a reservation and my name. She did not look it up anywhere and acted like she didn’t know where to put us. Had band members move from their table with food. I asked about a booth or other low table she said she was booked. We sat on corner high table but it was freezing
