I needed to eat out by myself. I sat at the bar. Service was excellent! Started off with one of thier most unusual appetizers: Deep Fried Deviled Eggs. Yum! Next was the Chicken Shawarma (if its good enuf for the Advengers...) with a side of Onion Rings. Now that was a serious side (2 bucks extra)! Finally, I got a beer to wash it all down": "Jesus on a Forklift" (a great stout). Food was hot when delivered. And they waited just long enuf after the appetizer for the main course. If I wasn't worried about losing some weight, I would have had one of those awesome desserts.
I had an absolutely fantastic visit here, thanks in large part to our server, Tina, who delivered some of the best service I’ve had in a long time. She was perfectly attentive and always there right when we needed her, never hovering, and incredibly warm and genuine. She made the whole meal feel effortless. Now let’s talk about the food. The crab Rangoon nachos? Mind-blowing. Every bite had that perfect mix of creamy, crunchy, savory goodness. Honestly, I’d come back just for those alone. Then came the crab Rangoon burger, which completely stole the show. Unique, rich, and insanely flavorful; one of those dishes you can’t stop thinking about afterward. And pairing it with their amazing onion rings was a brilliant choice: crispy, golden, and the perfect complement to that incredible burge
I would have given The Som one star, but since we dined here on Valentine’s Day and the restaurant was fairly packed, I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt that the food and service are usually better. The positives are the décor and atmosphere. Lamps softly light the tables, and there’s comfortable seating suitable for parties of any size. Service was a little slow, which I attribute to how busy it was, but the staff was friendly. Unfortunately, the drinks were awful. The Long Island tasted like a premix, and the rum and Coke was watered down with too much ice. I ordered the butter chicken—it was filling but very bland. My lady ordered the birria tacos, which were extremely dry and unsatisfactory. Overall, this wasn’t a good experience, and I’ll be skipping this establishment the next t
Cara was our server and she was absolutely perfect. I had such an enjoyable experience and the food was far exceedingly above expectations! The Thai Brussel Sprouts were outrageously delicious!
I got the "Better than kpop" Chicken Sandwich with the sweet potato fries and a pistachio cheesecake. Excellent sandwich! The sweet potato fries were the best I ever had. The maple sauce is out of this world and addicting in the best way. I love that pistachio is getting more attention as a flavor. Great pairing on a cheesecake. I'll be back when in in Burlington!
