The Shore Eat

The food is fantastic! It is in a strip mall with seating for about 14 people and basic decor, but so clean! We had 8 people for late lunch, and everyone loved what they had! Mac n Cheese Bacon Smashburger and Ruben were favorites! Eggplant 🍆 fries were exceptional...very friendly but a little shy waitstaff... everything made fresh to order, including the potato chips!

The flavor was great! The only reason this place didn't get a 5 star was that he just needs to elevate it a little more. Such as tosting the the buns and such. The burger was solid, with zero complaints. The Hawaii chicken sandwich was spicy, and the salsa was incredible on it. Just came out a bit soggy. Like I said, he just needs to toast the bun. Get the fried pickles best in NJ, hands down!!!! The batter was awesome, not a single soggy fry! Great local spot to visit after the zoo with the kids. Everything was reasonably priced as well.

This cowboy burger was all that! It had 2 patties, cheddar cheese, onion ring, fried pickles, and BBQ sauce. My only issue was immediately after I put in my order the person goes and grabs a hamburger bun and hoagie roll WITHOUT gloves after handling my transaction. As I sat there watching in shock, I'm trying to figure out how to let this person know how I feel without getting upset. So after handling the bun he goes and gets gloves. So I shout loudly THANK YOU, THANK YOU FOR GETTING GLOVES. And can I get a new bun since you took it out without gloves?! I was pleasantly surprised that my request was accommodated without retaliation or attitude. He was very gracious. So yes, I would recommend this place. And I would recommend the cowboy smash burger.

The food was delicious. I had the bourbon smash burger, and I think I said “so good” after every bite. My husband also said his cowboy smash burger was great. We loved the fries as well. All of that, and a friendly staff. BTW, I meant to take a photo, but I forgot. I took one bite and didn’t set it down again.

Decent burger. Should have been cooked a bit more for a true smashburger. Bathroom was neglected. Mirror and sink were pretty dirty, and it looked baked in. We were there at 12p on a Tuesday, ate in, and no one else came in for 20 mins. Hunts ketchup also drags the points down. 😂. Get some Heinz in there and clean the front door and bathroom when you aren’t busy.
