The Shady Llama

What a special find! I can't recommend this place enough. We came really early on a Saturday morning and went on the guided hike of the property. They have an assortment of the Texas native plants labeled along the walk. It was a fairly easy walk. Some of it required good shoes because it is the Hill Country, of course. We didn't see the miniature donkeys or the llamas while we were walking, but they were all back in the pen near the bar and the seating area. So they gave us some feed to give the llamas. Everyone was just so friendly and kind. They put a great deal of thought into every aspect of the Shady Llama. It was rainy and cold when we went but still had a great time. I imagine when it's sunny out, it's the perfect place to hang out. The staff were great and treated us nicely.

A must visit if you're in the area. Amazing view and if you time it right, incredible sunsets. The llamas were super friendly and feeding them was such a joy. The staff was overwhelmingly welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable with the different beverages options. Our group had a great time here. Suitable for all ages and kid friendly. The food truck was delicious and efficient. 10/10 would go again.

The outdoor environment was so relaxing and enjoyable. I am looking forward to going again and bringing my kids to experience feeding the llamas. It was clean and spacious yet inviting and calm.

What a great idea. Bring the family to an outdoor area that has a food truck on site and a bar serving amazing drinks. And as a bonus..... THERE ARE LLAMAS AND MINI DONKEYS!!!! Firepits, seating, hammocks, with great views await down a gravel pathway with lots of room for the kids to play in the kids area. You can literally hang out all day here. The food truck has some pretty great food too. I recommend trying the amazing tacos!!!
