The Shack

Great burger joint. The frying soil. Fries were very crispy. Burger was excellent. Pricing is reasonable. Kitchen looks clean.

A hidden gem. Small family owned business. Very friendly service. Good food at reasonable prices. We loved the Shack burger with bacon and pepper jack cheese, and crispy onion rings. Note, cash only.

Remembered "The Shack" very fondly from 20+ years ago, and was anxious to get back ...... Wondering if it would live up the memories. Quick answer- It Did!!!!! Truly outstanding!!!!!! Tremendous cheeseburger - fresh cooked, good quality meat, so tasty. Best burger I've had in a long time. Fries were hit, crispy and delicious. Caramel shake thick and smooth with a great caramel flavor. Everything was freshly cooked but quickly- no excessive wait. Friendly helpful staff. The Prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food. It's almost impossible to get a 5 Star Review out of me, but "The Shack" earns one!!!!@ (The only downside- they don't take debit or credit cards ..... So bring Cash) Fine, fine example of the classic drive-in!!!!! Do NOT miss it if you're in the area!!!!!

Our first visit, and boy, did they deliver! Wonderful service, delicious food, and a cute little picnic table in the shade to enjoy our meal. Things to remember: BRING CASH!! They are cash or check only. Highlights: -The patty melt was truly phenomenal. Perhaps the best I've ever had. -The shakes are fantastic. Our pineapple shake was chock full of pineapple, and the peanut butter shake was also great.

Somehow $40 for 2 people for 2 drinks, a 2 piece catfish basket and a chicken basket (not including tip). Food was ok... coleslaw was good. We asked for okra to be extra crispy but it wasnt. I guess we were a bit disappointed especially when the check came. We won't be back as there are too many other places we prefer but glad we tried it.
