The Sawmill

A nice restaurant with a wonderful location and spectacular views. We had the chicken wing pizza, chicken artichoke basil pesto pizza and the smoked turkey wrap. The food was great, especially the smoked turkey wrap was delicious. We loved the outdoor seating deck, which offered amazing views of the Canandaigua Lake. The only downsides were, the service was slow with long wait times to get seated (although lots of tables were available), to place the order, etc. And although the outdoor seating space had nice breeze (the indoor space felt a little hot & stuffy; it was a hot day) and offered nice views, there were lots of small insects, which made the dining experience a little annoying. But would still give it full five stars simply for the views and the food. Would love to be back again

Most importantly, an excellent view. Showed up for Sunday BBQ buffet right after they opened and the spot was pretty empty so we got the best seats. The slides were all excellent but the meat was little dry and the sauce was sweet

This is a great restaurant, located in a scenic spot offering beautiful views of the south end of Canandaigua Lake. Visited on a Saturday afternoon, we were warmly greeted and our wait time to be seated on the patio was minimal. Our server was friendly and efficient, which is not always the case in many places these days. We started with an appetizer that was offered as one of the day's specials: Coconut Shrimp. It was perfectly prepared and very delicious. We opted for something light for dinner: Marinated Chicken Sandwiches. Our sandwiches were also delicious, served on a tasty Brioche roll with Provolone and a Basil Pesto Mayo...so good. This place has all the bases covered, perfect for any age. Will definitely stop by again. Highly recommend.

We cruised down to the Sawmill from Canandaigua yesterday. They have a good number of slips for guests arriving from the lake (all the north-facing slips are available for restaurant guests) so it was very convenient. We sat outside overlooking the lake. Beautiful view, comfortable and relaxing. The owner/host/cook/waitress was a joy! We had the BBQ buffet (last one for the season). Food was so good and plentiful. My vodka cocktail was delicious and my husband appreciated the wide variety of beers. This was our first time at The Sawmill....we look forward to going back.

Worst wings I’ve ever had and I’ve had wings from all over the US. Rubbery, flavorless, suspicious meat quality, need I continue? Shared a couple wings with my table because I wasn’t eating them, my sentiments were echoed by my colleagues. In fact, just a bite of one of the wings sent one from my group running to the bathroom. Not good.
