The Root Beer Stand

It is always a hard place for seating a party of 4. Or I just come at peak times. Sometimes the indoor dining is standing room only. Luckily they have outside seating. Regardless, the food is worth the wait. They have the best cheese coney in the area. Root Beer is the finest!!! You have to stop by and enjoy!!!

A family friendly classic! We love coming every summer. The root beer is the main attraction! The newer large indoor seating area is great. We love all the options out back with the shade, playground, and occasional train traffic!

This place was so good. I wanted to stop at a locals stop. The chili cheese dogs were so good. The root beer was also awesome. The only regret was I was hoping for onion rings. I would definitely recommend.

Food is great, service is great, atmosphere is usually great. I went on a rainy, cold day. Ate “inside”. It was absolutely freezing. No space heaters on, so very cold. I guess on cold days, just do carry out and eat in your car. 2 Foot long chili cheese coneys, little popcorn, root beer and root beer float was fabulous but kind of expensive. $40 with tip. Recommend just getting a gallon of root beer instead of buying two separate drinks.
