The Restaurant at Ponte

We went to The Restaurant at Ponte for our 29th anniversary. We made reservation for lunch. We were seated right away. Our waitress, Cheyenne, was awesome from beginning to end. We ordered the steak and shrimp and the scallops entree. Both were excellent! Since it is part of the winery, we did see a lot of people with wine and the place looked really busy. We appreciated the waitress remembering that we came in for our anniversary and brought us anniversary ice cream and written on it was a “happy anniversary”. Overall it was an awesome experience being there for the first time!

Fantastic experience. Teresa was a fantastic server, as were others. Food was generous portions and very nice flavour pairings. Don't plan for sunset hours if you are hoping to see that while you eat. Enjoy the sunset and make a later reso. Patio is beautiful but no sunset view.

Nice place. Food is delicious and wine tasting is good at all

The food at the Restaurant at Ponte was good. I had the bolognese and my husband had a salmon caesar salad. We told the hostess and mentioned in the reservation that we were celebrating our 40th anniversary, but there was no special recognition during or after dinner in recognition of that. Maybe that's not the custom of this restaurant. In any event, it was a cool, brisk night so we ate and then left. We did have a great time in the Tasting Room before arriving for dinner, however and our room at the Ponte Vineyard Inn was fantastic! So overall it was a great stay in Temecula.

The tasting room was amazing (Kim was great). The environment was also great (live music, outside heaters to keep you warm, etc). However the food was subpar. My $60 ribeye was low quality and smothered in a sauce that felt like was hiding the shortcomings of the steak. My wife’s $35ish salmon was dry and reminded her of the frozen fish you would comparatively buy at a Trader Joe’s. If I hadn’t spent $200 for a 2 person dinner i would have let it go, but for that money I would have reconsidered where we ate. Everything great elsewhere, just minus the food.
