My friend and I spent a weekend in the Berkshires this summer. The Red Door B&B was the perfect place for us; not only did we enjoy the comforts of a clean and well-appointed room, a delicious and wholesome organic breakfast in a peaceful setting walking distance from downtown Lee and a short driving distance to Tanglewood, but we were so warmly hosted by Sue and Al. They were gracious and generous hosts who offered delightful conversation and helpful tips for activities during our stay. Thanks to them, we had a memorable experience that we plan to repeat, and when we do, we’ll make sure to stay at The Red Door.

We loved The Red Door B&B. The room was light, spacious, very clean and very comfortable. Susan and Al are natural B&B hosts, so welcoming and helpful. We were in the Berkshires for our daughter's wedding; the weekend start times presented challenges to their breakfast schedule, and Susan and Al were so very gracious and flexible. We loved the breakfasts, always starting with fresh fruit. The house itself has a warmness to it with its lovely dining room, living room and, it seemed to me, always wonderful smell! We highly recommend this B&B, and will stay again in the future.

This is an absolutely ideal place to stay in the Berkshires. Just a couple of blocks from Lee's business district, but completely quiet and serene. An easy drive to all the area attractions, too. The innkeepers were welcoming and tended to everything we needed. The room was comfortable, and the common spaces and outdoor seating were pleasant places to relax. And the food! Susan looks for local and organic ingredients and produces exquisite breakfast feasts. And then she leaves a big bar of amazing local chocolate on the pillow. Take that hotels with measly chocolate mints on offer!

The hosts (Susan and Al) were lovely, and the breakfasts fantastic. Susan is quite the cook and let’s not slight Al, the sous chef/dishwasher 😊). Our room was so large, just like we like and decorated so nicely. Susan put fresh towels in our room each day which is more than we expected (nice surprise). Dudley, their ever so friendly puppy, was adorable. There were lots of restaurants within walking distance or short drive. We loved the farmers market in the park on Saturday. The high point of our visit was the tour at The Mount or the Edith Wharton estates. Absolutely gorgeous home. Edith was an amazing woman. An engineer, visionary, designer, decorator and yes, she some how found time to write 40 books in 40 years. All that in an era when women’s only role in life was marry, h

We spent our anniversary in the Berkshires and spent 2 nights at the Red Door B&B. The property is very convenient and walkable to restaurants and shops in Lee. It was an easy drive to attractions like Tanglewood. The 3 rooms are each beautiful. The A/C was more than adequate. Sue and Al, the owners, are wonderful and considerate. On our anniversary we found a bottle of wine and a red rose in our room. Sue's breakfasts are delicious, bountiful and made with local organic ingredients. Highly recommended.
