It's not often you can find a wonderful breakfast or lunch served in a real vintage caboose overlooking a marina. It's conveniently located in downtown Blaine and is an easy stop if you're coming to or from the border. They serve a nice variety of breakfast and lunch sandwiches as well as fantastic homemade pastries and terrific coffee. You can spend a lot of time just looking at the decor or you could sit outside and enjoy your coffee while looking at the marina. They even have water available for your canine companions. The prices are reasonable and the service is great. Highly recommend the Railway Cafe.
Cute little establishment with warm owners. The sandwich and Mediterranean panini we ordered were freshly made. I wasn’t planning on getting a pastry but the mango-blueberry muffin was hard to resist, it was very moist and had the right amount of sweetness to it, we decided to take another one to go. They had other freshly baked pastries too. There’s outdoor seating with a view. There are funny coffee quotes all over that’s sure to bring you a smile. Ordered Cafe au lait - 8/10 Mediterranean panini - 9/10 Pesto sandwich - 8/10 Mango blueberry muffins - 100/10 We highly recommend this place, you won’t regret!
The owners are so friendly and kind. The sandwiches were very good and generous on the meat. We ordered the railway club and Reuben and both were amazing. This place has such a unique cozy atmosphere. Also the blueberry mango muffin was to die for. Highly recommend this place.
We got a sandwich to-go, but they gave it to us soaking wet wrapped in the bag so we decided to eat it there. It was delicious! View was nice.
Cute train car café with views of the harbor and water beyond. Walls are decorated with humorous signs. The staff were very friendly. Typical cafe menu options. My club sandwich was packed with meat on a tasty bun. They have an espresso machine, too. There is parking and a restroom on-site. The bathroom with clean and well maintained, with a changing station for babies.
