The Queen & I Homestead

We stayed here for one night as we were traveling through. Holly and Isaac were very welcoming. They told us a little about the house and the town. The room was very clean, comfortable and quiet. They do have several dogs and chickens which roamed freely outside. As both Holly and Isaac work full time and we were there during the week, they were not able to provide the optional breakfast. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

The Hooks have done an amazing job of keeping the 100+ year old farmhouse and property in a traditional and appropriately updated manner. I spent many days here as a child, playing in the woods and all about the property and home. Many of those memories came flooding back as i peacefully walked the property or simply sat outside enjoying the nature. I wish i had stayed longer but I'm sure I will return at some point. This is where I acquired my love of Sweet Tea - Thank you, Grandma Warren (my friend's grandmother). I've now returned to FL feeling once again "grounded" and refreshed. Dan C.

We were passing through the area on a 1000 mile roadtrip. We were expecting to stay at a roadside motel and found The Queen and I on Google maps. We booked last minute and it was a slice of heaven. Isaac and Holly have thought of everything and have beautifully restored their home. We walked paths all over the property, heard and saw all kinds of birds, and ate wild blackberries along the trail. The beds and linens were very comfortable and bathrooms were deluxe. We hope to have a reason to stay there again!

The proprietors of this location have really been building this beautiful property up and are putting a lot of effort into making it a pleasant place. The property is beautiful, the room I had was spacious and comfortable. They have beautiful guinea fowl, chickens and turkey which make just looking out the window a pleasant experience. I only stayed here a night so I could hike at Shades, Turkey Run, and Pine Hills, but it was one of my most pleasant experiences with Airbnb. I heartily recommend them!

A beautiful old farmstead on a beautiful piece of ground. The room was well-appointed and comfortable. The shower had excellent heat and water pressure. Holly was a wonderful host and made us feel right at home. We also enjoyed the walking paths around the property and all the lightning bugs.
