The Pleasant Pheasant

Lovely home with an amazing view! We have been fortunate to spend many vacations at The Pleasant Pheasant over the last 20 years. We spent a week there with family in late July 2025. The view is incredible! The owners are very easy to work with and super helpful with ideas of places to go and where to eat in the area. The property has several living spaces, so each family was able to have their own space, but we still had a common area for everyone to get together in the evenings. The property is close to the Yellowstone park entrance at Gardiner. The rafting, horseback riding, and UTV adventures were enjoyed by most of our crew. We were even able to make out the Milky Way. For a 5 star meal with a spectacular view, I recommend the Yellowstone Valley Grill, which is near The Pleasant Phea

We had an amazing week staying at The Pleasant Pheasant. Margie & Walt were excellent hosts and were available if anything needed attention. The accommodations were wonderful and the big kitchen, living space was great for our group ages 87 to 16. I highly recommend staying here, walking out to the porch with your cup of coffee, watching the deer in the yard and enjoying the expansive views.

A return visit for me, the Pleasant Pheasant is an absolute perfect destination for anyone looking to explore all that Montana has to offer. We recently stayed here for 7 nights in July with 8 adults and 7 children ranging from 7 to 70 and everyone in the group enjoyed the accommodations. The view from the porch, the activities on property, and the proximity to all that Montana and Wyoming has to offer made for a phenomenal stay. The owners are very accommodating to every request and maintain a great property for large groups to relax and enjoy.

Walter & Margie were amazing host/hostess !! We stayed for a week with family & friends. Close to everything and houses set up and comfortable too !!

Enjoyed a most excellent stay at the Plesant Phesant. The accommodations were superb and the hosts were very accommodating. The views were spectacular and the location is convenient to Livingston and Yellowstone. I highly recommend it it especially for family reunions.
