The Peppered Goat

I was REALLY craving nigerian food after trying it for the first time a couple months ago from a different place in Sacramento. This seemed the only place in the valley to get egusi and fufu so I tried it despite the mixed reviews and I thought it was great. It definitely hit the spot and came with plenty of goat. The goat smell was a little strong but it was all tender and I liked it. Its a ghost kitchen so obviously you'll have to order online and pick up.

My experience with this small business has been very pleasant. Being a small business owner myself, I understand it is not always easy to please everyone. Not happy I got goat and this plate was mostly rice for 25.00 the goat tasted old as if it was leftovers. And the goat was tough and mostly fatty. The kitchen was not as clean as I would expect the pots they were cooking out of was old and burnt. First and last time I go there. The ladies were sweet. But that it.

Honest review: food is amazing. Best naija food I’ve had in LA. I recommend ordering in advance if you plan to pick it up. Ordered stewed goat (tasty, spicy, soft meat), beans & plantain (this slapped omg! I’m saving some just to eat more tomorrow), jerk & jollof (spicy, smoked, and juicy chicken), and beef suya (tasted like authentic naija suya). Highly recommend! We will def be back for more.
