Overall, not bad but I wished they used seasoning in their meats instead of letting the sauce do the heavy lifting. Don't be afraid of spices, they're delicious. - The Banh Mi taco is soaked in oil and all the flavor comes from the spicy sauce and pickled vegetables. - The BBQ Brisket taco was dry and bland. The flavor comes from the sweet bbq sauce on top and the cold slaw. - The Korean Steak bowl was the most seasoned (not including sauces) but even then, it wasn't enough.
I got a bowl here for lunch, the quality and taste of the food was good! The portion size was also very decent for the price, and the prices themselves are typically for airport meals. The cauliflower bowl was good, the tacos were also decent. Service was fairly quick. There is open seating in the area serving multiple airport restaurants.
The Peached Tortilla is such a fun fusion spot. The flavors are bold and creative Asian-Southern mashups that somehow just work. From crispy pork belly to flavorful tacos and shareable plates, everything feels thoughtful and well-balanced. The vibe is trendy but relaxed, and it’s perfect for a lively dinner with friends or a cute date night. Definitely one of those places that keeps things interesting. 9/10
Airport Tacos, they can’t be good right? WRONG. This is always my go to spot at this airport before I leave. A fun fusion take on tacos. The Tacos are also 2 for $11, pretty good value for an airport restaurant. For my two tacos I got the following: Korean Steak: Arugula, avocado, tomatillo salsa, cotija, pickled red onions, fried shallots. Very good! The steak was seasoned and good great. Fun twist on a taco. Banh Mi: Vietnamese braised pork belly, pickled daikon carrot, sriracha mayo, cilantro. Also very delicious. I had so many traditional tacos in Austin, these were a fun way to end the trip. You can’t go wrong with pork belly. I would recommend both.
The actual eatery and menu is somewhat hidden behind other food and beverage stands. However, I tried the brisket tacos and Parmesan fries. The brisket tasted more like shredded roast beef/stew. However for a decent bite I’d recommend it. Not terribly expensive compared to others here at AUS.
